About Us
Our founder, Nathan Kelley, has nearly 30 years of experience in professional K9 training. A nationally recognized expert in canine behavior and training, Nathan has spent time as a K9 handler and K9 trainer for the Henrico County Police Department’s K9 unit. While Torpedo K9’s initial mission was to train police and military K9 units, we opened our doors to civilian dogs in 2018.
We believe in every dog’s potential, and we never turn away a dog due to aggression or their breed. Our board and train programs take place on seven beautiful acres in New Kent County, VA, where the dogs are surrounded by nature. We provide indoor and outdoor training, as well as plenty of fenced-in space for the dogs to play. Our climate controlled boarding facility is clean and secure, with comfortable kennels for each dog. When you choose Torpedo K9, you can rest assured that your dog will always be safe, supervised, and most importantly, loved.
All of Torpedo K9’s programs have been developed from Nathan’s deep background in K9 behavior. Our facilities are climate controlled, safe, and clean. Best of all, your dog will have fun! We are not a commercial kennel, and your dog will never be stuck in a small, uncomfortable crate. Our seven lush acres in New Kent County, VA are surrounded by forestry and livestock. With indoor and outdoor training areas, as well as plenty of fenced-in space for running and playing, your dog will feel right at home. Torpedo K9’s boarding facility features spacious kennels, paw friendly flooring, and a stainless steel wash bay. You can rest assured that your dog will be safe, supervised, and treated with love at all times.
